Timothy Chang

LAWYER

Raised in Richmond, Timothy is a Cantonese and Mandarin speaking lawyer. He graduated from UBC with a BSc in Honours Biophysics and a JD, and spent much of law school developing his litigation toolbox with the LawStudents’ Legal Advice Program where he grew from a clinician to a clinic head, and eventually, Publications Director. 

Taking part in the Criminal Law Clinic at the Peter A. Allard School of Law, he examined a witness for trial and won “Best Direct- and Cross-Examination” in the 2020 Peter Burns Moot, a trial moot.

Timothy articled in a family and criminal law firm before being called to the Bar in 2022, and spent over 3 years in personal injury defence, taking part in jury and non-jury trials in the BC Supreme Court. His practice includes general civil litigation and family law.

Outside of work, Timothy puts his dancing shoes on and competes in amateur international ballroom dancing.
